” Academically, NCCE has engaged our daughter through thoughtful writing prompts and project-based learning. We have seen her writing skills grow each year. The school’s commitment to science and STEM is especially noteworthy; the large-scale spring projects are a highlight, showcasing creativity, inquiry, and hands-on learning. Teachers meet students where they are and thoughtfully support them in moving ahead when they are ready, ensuring each child is both challenged and encouraged.

The social and emotional support at NCCE is tremendous. The school community truly feels like a family—teachers and staff know each child personally and care deeply about their well-being.

When our family experienced a personal loss this past year, the staff went out of their way to support our daughter with compassion, a listening ear, and genuine care. This nurturing environment has made a lasting impact on her.

We also appreciate the school’s responsiveness to students’ needs. When the middle school teachers noticed that students needed additional outlets, they created an after-school sports enrichment program. It was remarkable to see the transformation—from students knowing little about volleyball to playing competitively against other schools. More importantly, the program helped students stay active, build confidence, and grow as a team. The energy and dedication the faculty invest in students is truly inspiring.

The arts program at NCCE is exceptional. With faculty expertise in audio/visual arts, theatre, and music, students have opportunities that are rare at schools of this size. Participating in musicals at one of Napa Valley’s premier theaters has been an unforgettable experience for our daughter. These performances have taught her that preparation builds confidence and that creativity has an important place in education.
