The Music Department of Napa Christian Campus of Education is interested in developing an appreciation for the Fine Arts in all our students, specifically in the area of music.  We attempt to achieve this through the following goals:

• Advancement of musical understanding (theory)
• Advancement of musical appreciation (knowledge of music history, composers, and great works of music)
• Development of performing facility (skill)
• Development of musical independence
• Greater identification with music as a medium for human expression

Beyond the above goals are three major beliefs that are central to our Music Department:

• First, music is a window through which the Holy Spirit can communicate with us.
• Secondly, music is a vehicle we may use to share the love of Christ with others.
• Thirdly, we consider our musical performances not as entertainment, but as a music ministry.

• Classroom Music for Students in Grades K - 4
• Choral Experience for all Students
• Band Experience for Students in Grades 5 – 12
• Hand Chimes for Students in Grades 6 – 8
• String Groups for Students in Grades K – 12
