Greg Coryell

Greg Coryell grew up in central Illinois.  He is a graduate of Broadview Academy.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Andrews University in 1973.  He has taught at the elementary, middle, and high school level for thirteen years.

In 1986, Greg began a new career path in healthcare philanthropy.  For the next six years he served as the Director of Fund Development and Foundation Executive Director for two Adventist hospitals is Georgia and Maryland.  In 1992, he completed his professional certification requirements and became a member of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).  He also served as the Vice Principal for Advancement and Alumni Affairs at Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market, Virginia from 1992 to 1996. 

In 1996, Northern California Conference asked him to be the principal at Redwood Junior Academy in Santa Rosa.  He served there for five years before leaving the beautiful Sonoma Valley for sunny Florida.  From 2001 to June 2006, he was the principal of Forest Lake Education Center in Orlando, Florida.  During his leadership the school grew from 466 students to 605, making it the second largest PK-8th grade Adventist school in the United States. 

Greg and his wife, Teri, are delighted to once again be back in northern California.  They have two daughters:  Cristi Coryell, an Adventist teacher in southern California and Cali Coryell LaPierre, a speech and language pathologist in public education in northern Virginia.
