Mr. Smith comes from a family of educators: his grandfather and grandmother were both teachers and administrators, and his mother is an award-winning high school history teacher. He graduated from Pacific Union College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies. He then returned to Pacific Union College to get his teaching credentials, which he completed in 1994. Mr. Smith began his career at Napa Christian as a part-time history teacher in the Junior Academy program. The following year he was hired as a full-time Religion and History teacher, and in 1998 he took on the added responsibility of teaching English. In addition to teaching, Mr. Smith served as the yearbook advisor for six years, and has spent the last 12 years coaching varsity sports, including flag football, volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer and golf. His wife, Kharolynn Pascual Smith, joined the Napa Christian faculty in 2003.
Mr. Smith enjoys sports, especially golf and baseball, music and traveling to places with historical significance. |
