Dan Muhic

Dan Muhic is a Northern California native.  He is pleased to be working again close to where he grew up and where his family still live.  In California, students benefit from Dan’s knowledge of California Natural History.  Dan recently returned from Oahu, Hawaii where he taught at Hawaiian Mission Academy for four years.  While in Hawaii he enjoyed teaching a variety of subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Marine Biology, Computer Science and Physical Science.  Dan’s Hawaiian students appreciated the fact that surfing is one of Dan’s favorite pastimes.  He has served as class sponsor several years.

Dan Muhic graduated from Pacific Union College in 1998 with a teaching credential and Bachelor of Science in Natural Science.  Shortly after graduating, he taught California Natural History at Pacific Union College for a quarter.  Dan enjoyed teaching at the college level, but his passion is for high school level science.

In 1998, Dan married his college sweetheart and fellow Biology student, Kristi.  The Muhics have one child, Noah, who is 20 months old.  They live in Angwin.  Dan’s hobbies include cycling, water sports, hiking, traveling, and playing HotWheels with Noah.   Other pastimes include home remodeling (a never ending job), landscaping, changing diapers, and visiting friends and family.
